                Sunrise MUCK's Policy on Banning, Toading etc.

Although most players are here to tell a story together, is an unfortunate
reality that there are a few people who don't join a MUCK for the sole purpose
of having FUN. Even though the wizards can't keep all these unpleasant people
from requesting characters on the MUCK, we have the right to take action if it
comes down to it. This includes anything from @jailing to @banning. We
encourage our players to come and talk to ANY of the Wizzes if you have been
harrassed, forced into RPs, been victims of Twinking and/or Power-Gaming,
witnessed activity not within our PG-13 rating, etc. It is, after all, the
Wizards' job to keep the MUCK fun for everyone who comes for good ol'
fashioned RP. But remember, without the help of the players, we cannot keep
the MUCK clean; so really, it's the job of the Wizzes, the Staff, AND the
players!
 
@jail = This involves locking the offending player into a room without any
way to exit or comunicate with other players. @jail is the minor punishment
the Wizards can give to a player. However, the time the player is confined in
@jail can vary from hours to even months, depending on what the player has
done.
 
@toad = Also known as @frob (which is almost the same thing). It consists
of deleting all the offending player's characters from the MUCK without
letting them re-request any characters for a certain period of time. @toad is
for serious or repeated breaches of the rules, and the lockout can go anywhere
from months to a year, in accordance with what the player has done. Should the
toaded player insist on logging in as a Guest and harrassing the players or
admin, the Wizards may decide to to @ban the player.
 
@ban = @banning is the ultimate punishment a Wizard can place against a
player. It consists of getting rid of all the player's characters and locking
him or her permanently out of the MUCK, with no access to log on even as a
Guest. Once @banned, chances are you won't come back - ever.
  
The reasons for these punishments can vary. The most common include
harrassment, twinking, power-gaming, using spy objects (non-puppets), TS
(which is completely FORBIDDEN on this MUCK - and Wizards have access to the
MUCK logs and can tell if someone went further than they should!), etc. The
Wizzes have the power and authority to take action against an offending player
with any of the methods listed above, at the Wizards' sole discretion.
  
Again, we ask - PLEASE - if you are/were a victim of any of these offences,
contact the Wizards immediately! You will remain anonymous, and it'll help a
great deal if we all can work together as one big team. :D
