|    Sunrise MUCK is a world where you can live the life of an animal in |
| the vast wilderness of Africa. Become a mighty, gentle elephant of the |
| plains, play a soaring eagle of the mountains or create a              |
| smooth-skinned snake of the desert. Be born into a troupe of           |
| hard-working meerkats, live the ultimate free social life in a pack of |
| canines or feel true belonging in a pride of lions.                    |
|                                                                        |
|    Sunrise MUCK's stated theme is African Wildlife. All wild species   |
| that currently exist on the African mainland, and even some rarities   |
| that became extinct in recent history, are welcomed as part of our     |
| tapestry of life. Subspecies and special colour forms that look        |
| distinctly different from their generic forms can be requested (for    |
| example, Masai Giraffes and White Lions can be labelled as such).      |
|                                                                        |
|    Sunrise traces its history back to 1997 and African Tails MUCK      |
| (ATM), which had a stated theme of Disney's film 'The Lion King'. In   |
| 2003, when ATM died, Sunrise was born with new administrators but many |
| of the same characters and lands. The prevailing RP style on Sunrise   |
| is somewhat more realistic than on most TLK-based worlds, though       |
| no-one is obliged to RP more realistically than they want to.          |
|                                                                        | 
|    You may notice that a few characters here have the names of Lion    |
| King characters - Simba, Zira, etc. This is because the MUCK accepted  |
| several refugees from a TLK-themed MUCK that had died. Although movie  |
| characters are considered 'Feature Characters' (FCs) on some other     |
| worlds and recast when their players idle out, characters with names   |
| like these are not given any special treatment on Sunrise. If the      |
| player idles out, the character is frobbed like any other - death can  |
| in fact spawn a lot of RP! The only FCs on Sunrise are occasional      |
| characters that are 'cast' for a particular plot.                      |
|                                                                        |
|    The name of the game on Sunrise is creativity and co-operation. We  |
| are a small and friendly world where players work together to tell a   |
| story that's fun for everyone. Go forth and RP, and have a great time! |
