=========================================================================== Sunrise MUCK's Rules Regarding Tiny Plots =========================================================================== Tiny Plots (also known as TPs) are any pre-planned stories that include one (personal TP) or many (TP or Global TP) characters. These have basic rules: they have to be consensual, and all the players that are a part of them should be aware of the entire story in order to agree and avoid misunderstandings. Sunrise MUCK has a few rules regarding TPs that include more than one participant, in order to keep the peace and order amongst our players. ** 1) Local Tiny Plots: Local TPs strictly involve only one area/pride. To keep each pride alive and active, Local TPs are required to keep players interested and, of course, to give the players something to RP and 'react to'. Kings and Queens of each pride are responsible for coming up with these TPs (although they can use other players' help and ideas), thus Kings and Queens have the final say on Local TPs. ** 2) Global Tiny Plots: Global TPs include more than one area/pride of the Muck (for example, a natural disaster). In this case, the Kings and Queens of the involved lands should discuss their ideas with the Wizstaff and let other players know what's going on via MOTDs, announcements, etc. Such TPs should be discussed with the Wizstaff for the following reasons: 1) The Wizards can keep the Muck as a whole informed, which may attract more players to join in the TP, and 2) the Wizards will know of other TPs going on, so there won't be conflicting TPs (eg: a great fire in Kivuli when there's a mass flooding in Tyne). ** 3) TP Responsibilities - Kings and Queens: As stated in News LeoninePolicy2, it is the responsibility of the Royalty to keep their prides active. That means that Kings and Queens have the final say with Local TPs. No player nor Wizard can change what they decide to do with their territory. However, when the TPs concern more than one pride, it's required that they check with the Wizzes to see if there are other Global TPs being worked on. If there is a conflict, the Wizstaff will help create a solution to have it work out one way or another. This doesn't mean Wizards need to know every detail that goes on throughout the Muck; they're only mediators to review and offer solutions so that all the TPs can work out in the end. ** 4) TP Responsibilities - Players: Players are, of course, the main part of TPs; and Kings and Queens are players too, after all. No-one can force anyone else to play a role or do something they don't wish to RP, including forcing them to participate (or not) in a TP. ** 5) TP Responsibilities - Wizards: As mentioned before, Wizards do not have authority over any decisions that don't involve multiple areas of the Muck. For example, a player and his two friends play three hyenas and they work on a TP to attack a pride. In this case Wizards have nothing to do, because it happens inside someone's lands. In constrast, if a King decides his lands are going to suffer earthquakes, then that's when the Wizards should be notified, so they can let the people near those lands know there are arthquakes. This applies for TPs that include two prides or more, one pride with an 'open' (everyone invited) TP, or TPs that require FCs to be cast. In the case of weather-themed TPs, especially, it's a priority to let the Wizstaff know, since those rarely affect one single area. =========================================================================== Questions?
